b. Testimonials
If you provide a testimonial, we may post it publicly on the Site or in other marketing materials. By providing a testimonial, you give us permission to use it for any purpose, including marketing and advertising, without compensation to you.
c. Service Providers
We work with other businesses we believe have privacy practices consistent with ours ("Service Providers") to help operate our business, including: hosting and website maintenance; marketing and promotion; payment processing; business analytics; IT and data security; and professional services such as legal and accounting. We provide Service Providers only the information necessary for them to perform these services on our behalf, and Service Providers are prohibited from using your Personal Information for any other purpose.
d. Sharing With Insurance Partners (How Your Quote Request Is Used)
This is the core of how Latinos Asegurados works, so please read this section carefully. When you submit a quote request through our Site, we share your Personal Information — including your name, contact information, address, and the coverage details you provide — with insurance agents, insurers, and Insurance Partners who may be able to offer you final expense insurance coverage. We receive compensation from these Insurance Partners for connecting them with consumers like you. Depending on applicable state law, this sharing may be considered a "sale" or "share" of your Personal Information, which is why the rights described in Section 15 below (including the right to opt out) apply to it.
We may also share your Personal Information with other third parties — such as advertising partners, analytics providers, and data platforms — for their own marketing purposes, where permitted by law and subject to the rights described below.
The information we share with Insurance Partners and other third parties, and any information you provide directly to them, is subject to each party's own privacy policy. An Insurance Partner may keep information we share with them whether or not you ultimately purchase a policy through them. Our agreements with Insurance Partners require them to protect the Personal Information we provide, limit how they use it, and comply with applicable privacy laws.
e. Email Marketing
We may use your Personal Information to market products or services likely to be of interest to you via email. You may opt out of commercial email communications from us via the unsubscribe link in the footer of those messages.
6. Security
We employ commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, and use. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure; while we strive to protect information transmitted through our Site and Services, we cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information transmitted over the Internet, and you accept any associated risk.
7. Other Websites
Third-party websites accessible through the Site may have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of such third parties.
8. Compliance With Laws and Law Enforcement
We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose Personal Information, Usage Data, and other information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties if we believe, in our sole discretion, it is necessary or appropriate to respond to legal requests (including court orders, investigative demands, and subpoenas), to protect the safety, property, or rights of ourselves, users, or any third party, to prevent or stop illegal activity, or to comply with law.
9. Other Transfers
We may share Personal Information with businesses controlling, controlled by, or under common control with us. If we are merged, acquired, or sold, or in the event of a transfer of some or all of our assets, we may disclose or transfer Personal Information and Usage Data in connection with such transaction.
10. How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain your Personal Information for as long as we have a relationship with you, and for a period of time afterward where there is an ongoing business need to do so, including to comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations. Generally, we retain Personal Information until you ask us to delete it, or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is not intended for children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received Personal Information from a child under 18, we will delete it from our records.

You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing from us by emailing us at santiago@sherpadigitalagency.com. If you opt out of marketing you will still receive transactional messages, such as responses to your questions. If you opt out of receiving marketing communications from our Insurance Partners or other business partners with whom we have shared your information, you will still receive marketing communications from us and from any other partners with whom your information was separately shared. If you do not want us to track your location, you can turn off location services on your phone or computer through your device settings.

Our Services are directed at residents of the United States. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), please note that we may use third-party tools to estimate your geographic location for the purpose of limiting non-essential cookies in accordance with GDPR. If you believe we have used cookies in connection with your visit without appropriate consent, please notify us at santiago@sherpadigitalagency.com.
15. Additional California Consumer Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, "CCPA"), gives California residents certain rights regarding their Personal Information, as described below.
a. Right to Know
You have the right to request that we provide you: (i) the categories and/or specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you; (ii) the categories of sources from which it was collected; (iii) the business or commercial purpose for collecting it; and (iv) the categories of third parties with whom we shared it. If we sold or shared your Personal Information, you also have the right to request the categories of Personal Information sold or shared, and the categories of third parties to whom it was sold or disclosed.
We are not permitted to provide access to specific pieces of Personal Information if doing so creates a high risk of harm from disclosure to an unauthorized person (for example, certain sensitive identifiers). If we withhold information for this reason, we will inform you.
Categories of Personal Information Collected and Disclosed in the Past 12 Months:
| Category of Personal Information | Disclosed or Sold? | Categories of Third Parties |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers (name, address, email, phone, IP address) | Disclosed/Sold | Insurance Partners (agents, insurers, carriers); Service Providers |
| Commercial Information (age range, desired coverage) | Disclosed/Sold | Insurance Partners |
| Internet or Network Activity | Disclosed | Service Providers; advertising/analytics partners |
| Geolocation Data (approximate, state/region-level) | Disclosed | Service Providers |
b. Right to Delete
You may request that we delete Personal Information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., where we need the information to complete a transaction, prevent fraud, comply with a legal obligation, or as otherwise permitted by law).
c. Right to Correct
You may request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you, subject to verification of your identity and the nature of the information.
d. Exercising Your Rights to Know, Delete, and Correct
You may exercise these rights by emailing us at santiago@sherpadigitalagency.com. Please provide enough information to allow us to verify your identity and locate your Personal Information in our systems. We will respond to access and deletion requests within 45 days (with a possible 45-day extension, of which we will notify you), and to opt-out requests within 15 days, as required by law.
e. Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing
You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your Personal Information with third parties. You may exercise this right at any time by emailing santiago@sherpadigitalagency.com.
f. Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA. Please note that some Personal Information is necessary for us to provide the Services — for example, we cannot connect you with an insurance quote without collecting basic contact and coverage information. In such cases, declining to provide that information will mean we cannot provide the Service you requested.
g. Authorized Agents
If you are an authorized agent submitting a request on behalf of a California resident, you must provide written authorization from the consumer or a valid power of attorney. We may contact you or the consumer to verify this authorization.
h. Shine the Light
California residents may, once per calendar year, request information about our disclosure of certain Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, email santiago@sherpadigitalagency.com with "Shine the Light Request" in the subject line.
16. Nevada Residents
Some of our data sharing practices may be considered a "sale" of Personal Information under Nevada Revised Statutes 603A. Nevada residents may opt out of such sale by emailing santiago@sherpadigitalagency.com.
17. Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain other states (including, as applicable, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah) may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain uses of their Personal Information under their state's privacy law. To exercise these rights, please contact us at santiago@sherpadigitalagency.com, and we will respond in accordance with the applicable law of your state of residence.
